Is there an ideal solution for any kind of parking problem?

This is a common and crucial question because the right solution can make all the difference. “One size fits all”  solution does not work in designing parking spaces as the requirements are varied and differ from customer to customer. For instance, what are the issues involved in creating parking systems for a shopping mall, or a multiplex?
JCL has studied parking patterns in different user segments and offers various customized solutions.

COMMERCIAL / OFFICE COMPLEX

Basements with or without pits on either side of the drive ways provide independent parking to users by installation of Independent Double/Triple Parkers and/or Puzzle Parkers. This completely eliminates the need for additional basements and of course the costs of additional ramp, lighting, fire fighting equipments etc.

  • The clear height from bottom of the pit/floor to bottom of the slab/beam ideally to be 5.6 - 5.8 mtrs accommodate three car spaces in place of one.
  • The Grid pattern of Columns and Beams in the basements should be spaced out at distances of 7.5 mtrs or in multiples of 2.5 mtrs thereof in order to accommodate more number of cars in between the columns.

The availability of such modern parking facilities improves the salability and popularity of commercial properties.

SHOPPING MALL / MULITPLEX

JCL recommends car parking solutions for shoppers and shop owners after studying the following parameters:

  1. Usage pattern – peak hours, weekends, holidays, weekdays, etc
  2. Duration of parking
  3. Retrieval time desired
  4. Type of Cars – Compact, SUV’s, etc

JCL has the right solutions for Multiplexes and Shopping Malls and recommends following types of parking in certain proportions based on study conducted:

  • Suvidha Parklift 411 - Dependent Double Car Stackers – Valet operated. Since Shopping Mall Owners are permanent parkers and would normally park their cars in the morning and take out only in the night when they close their show rooms, this makes the systems 50% independent. Costs are greatly reduced when Double stackers are installed in a row due to sharing of the Hydraulic Power Packs
  • Independent 2,3,4 level parking systems at the basements and in the Open areas around the Mall
  • Conventional Parking to take care of handicapped persons, senior citizens and women parkers carrying huge shopping bags.

RESIDENTIAL COMPLEX

Nowadays, most of the middle-upper class families have more than one car, due to which most of the residential complexes face shortage of parking spaces as the number of cars exceeds the spaces allotted to residents.

Dependent Double Stackers such as Suvidha Parklift 411 is highly recommended for such users as the keys of both the lower and upper cars are available to the members of the family owning the parking slot and the parking system. Two keys are given to users for operating the parking system for ease of operation and security.

New Residential complexes should ideally provide for a basement with greater height – say 3.5 mtrs (Clear height between the floor and the bottom of the slab/beam).

Costs are greatly reduced when Double stackers are installed in a row due to sharing of the Hydraulic Power Packs.
Fully Automatic Multilevel Parking Towers are recommended when the requirements of car spaces exceed the available conventional parking space by more than 3 to 4 times.
